LUFASI PARK AND THE UNSTOPPABLE RAIN

Have you ever been getting set for an outing and it threatens to rain? Not only did you smell the rain, you heard slight thunder claps and you could feel it would be a downpour. Have you ever wanted to leave the house so badly that not even rain can stop you? This post about Lufasi Park is an old one; I was still staying at my aunt’s at Lakowe (you remember that place?)

If you have read the post about Lakowe on this blog, you will remember I told you of few notable bus stops along the road. (Biko if you have not read it just click the green texts to read, make I no dey talk too much!) Anyways, Lufasi Park is a destination along Ajah/Epe express way when you are on your way to Lakowe.

If you can relate to the scenario I painted up there, just try to assume a mental picture of wanting to go out when it is about to rain as you read this piece. Let’s see if it was worth it or not.

As aimless as the scenario might seem, there was a destination in mind. This answers that it was worth it after all and that is why you are reading about Lufasi Park at the moment. Guess what? The threatened rain did not spill a drop till I almost got to the gate of my destination. I was welcomed with an umbrella without a tour guide, more like I made a fair deal to explore the place than being followed around.

Places like Lufasi Park can serve for more than a thousand and one events at once. A lengthy tour like I did is fine; excursions, picnic, playing ground, photo/video shoot, yoga activities and more are good to go down there.

Lekki Urban Forest and Animal Sanctuary Initiative (LUFASI) is situated on Km 41,Majek 1st Gate Ajah/Epe expressway. It is on the right after Novare shopping mall, Sangotedo.

All the elements that make up Lufasi Park makes the token you will pay at the entrance worth the view. Even the rain could not get in my way of enjoying the beautiful view. Oldie but goodie, I am ashamed I couldn’t supply too much deets about this place – I hope my pictures did?
