TAKWA BAY LAGOS (I THINK THE BEACH IS OVER RATED)

Takwa Bay

Sadly I don’t know how this post got deleted, had to repost.

I made a scene of my age during my last birthday, now I am trying to keep up with skimpy dresses, shorts and stuff to look younger than the number that I have put out there. Next time I won’t try that again. Emabinu. Shorts and tank top was the trick to look 16 on this day I made it to Takwa Bay. The plan like I earlier stated was to effortlessly look younger and enjoy my day off work with a couple of friends. I have seen a lot of pictures of Takwa Bay like they were not even taken here in Eko Ile (Lagos, Nigeria)

Excited was the least word for me to be seeing the much anticipated Takwa Bay for the first time. The usual route to Takwa Bay is through the Lagos Marina from the popular CMS bus top. Should I tell you how my friends were screaming when the boat kicked off? Oh! I already did.

We were finally at Takwa Bay while I was thinking it was just a stop over or some sort. Okay, maybe not so bad but I expected too much from the hype I have gotten here and there.

We settled under one of the tents there for me to clearly see how dirty the beach was, even the dose of serenity I savour from other beaches was no where available. I blamed that on the public holiday and insisted on having fun regardless. Since my high expectation wasn’t met, i tried to thrill myself to some photos as usual. I hope my editing app did a little bit of work?

After all said and done, this is not aimed at discouraging you from visiting Takwa Bay because I personally plan to go there another time when it won’t be a public holiday with lesser crowd involved. I must have that “abroad feeling” y’all have there mehn!

I shouldn’t forget to add that you don’t have to rob a bank to take a trip to Takwa Bay. Getting there wasn’t any bit as expensive as I thought.

If you haven’t been there before, I advice you to be choosy on the day you want to go. If you have been there before, please be nice to share your experience in the comment box.
