DIM LIGHTS AND COZY CORNERS: REVIEW OF DIRAB BUKA & LOUNGE

Dirab Buka & Lounge

This post will make me reiterate how fun my job is but I won’t dwell on that. Let’s just get straight at it, I joined my boss and colleagues after work at this spot I’ve always wanted to go, Dirab lounge.

You’ll be tempted to ask me why I’ve always wanted to drop by these spots but I never do? I’ll say I have never really imagined myself alone out there at such spots, it would be boring as hell but I am willing to try one day eventually.

Dirab Lounge sits calmly on km 14, Lekki/Epe expressway – that cozy bar not too far from Mega Chicken by the roadside. Best believe that you just found yourself a spot where you can while away the hellish traffic hours on Ajah route.  So how much are you paying me for this tip? Lol

The welcoming outlook of Dirab lounge will make me repeat the word ‘cozy. (I love everything cozy) It is a place endowed with secret corners where you can hide out with your new catch or sidepiece under dim lights. Yes, you read me right.

The attendants there are auto-swift in nature. They appear the next second you settle in to take you through their menu and help you with food suggestions. It will be an understatement that their drinks are deservingly cold.

The decibel of noise coming from the speakers at Dirab is considerate for the sanity of anybody returning from a crazy day at work. I figured the spot has a group of vendor stands where all the grills and yum come from and an eatery space with fine decor.

SEE WHAT HAPPENED THE OTHER DAY AT OFADABOY, SURULERE!!!

BUT

Jokingly, I felt the shredded chicken wings the friendly attendant and my colleague lured me into ordering was a scam. I would rather have my fries with a wholesome chicken part, which one be shredded. Lol I felt cheated cos they were too creative about it.

At a point, the smoke from the abundant grill stands was getting unbearable and too choking to bear. Does it happen like that every other time or it was just a coincidence?

They have reasonable prices on their menu that you can’t frown at. At the end of the day, the whole time out there will be worth its while.
