TRENCHES ARE THE NEW TALENT MINE – EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH SEYI VIBEZ

This is going to be a recap of my life in recent times and how I came by interviewing Seyi Vibez

The usual intro every inconsistent blogger starts up their new post with is the “oooooops! It’s been a long time on here and I think beloved readers are used to it because a part of them understands. The pressure keeping me away surpasses the will to stay up here I won’t lie. Why this my epileptic blogging is still worth it is because I get to share so much of what you might have missed out with me and we catch up pretty fine.

Keeping up on here one way or the other feels great each time and as I’ll always wish for, I can’t wait to become a full-time cashing-out blogger with all my attention focused on this platform – but till then let me bring up to date with things.

If you have been coming up with me from HERE, I shared my 2020 ordeal and how it feels at #TwentyNaughty but I did not see a new job position coming in spite how much I craved. This shift happened barely two months ago and I must say it has been quite an experience.

The last you knew of me was writing content for multiple brands, but now I have moved on to become a Content Producer/Director and the Media Team Lead for Nigeria’s biggest music website, Naijaloaded. *somebody dust my shoulders*

It’s an entirely different activity for me, it is more original than any content creation job I’ve ever had to do. It involves nonstop creating, thinking ahead of time, originating ideas, and bringing them to life, producing, directing, writing, and heading a 5-man media team. (You see why you didn’t see me here all this while?)

Another fascinating thing on the job is that the platform is set up to promote talents mostly from the trenches. This was the most intriguing part of my orientation which made me more open-minded and ready to explore this new calling.

Coming my way from the trenches for the first time was Seyi Vibez, a pure, unprocessed talent from the cores of Ikorodu. I might have heard about a lot of crude talents from the streets, watched some clips, and vibe to their songs like crazy, having him as a guest on one of the TV shows I direct was a very personal experience.

I could tell he has had life experiences by the stories he told in the interview and he gave so much melody.

In Seyi Vibez’ words:

“I am from the trenches and all the content of my track, #GodSent talks about the street. I am just a hustler trying to become successful.”

I have been plugged to Seyi Vibez soul sounds long before working with him to create some amazing contents, he reassures that any sound that comes from him will always be a soul sound.

With this original experience, I came to the verdict that the trenches are truly the new talent mine.
