Happiness is still the feeling of dropping the second episode of my thing, ”The Shabby Podcast.” You can understand the feeling because of where I was mentally when I made the first record. Now I can confidently take you through my morning routines that lead me to have productive days contrary to the point of relapse I was for 4 whole weeks. I have always shared my Lagos living experiences on here but this would be a series of practical activities I engage in before leaving the house and I can also say that things have changed, I no longer have to travel so far to get to work like before. I remember how I used to tell crazy stories about my day to day Lagos life when there was less pressure, no worries and barely any mental struggle.

 

Events have proven how tougher life gets and I am also learning all the easier ways to approach it as I have in these morning routines of mine.

 

The Shabby Podcast Episode 2 describes lifestyle activities that have become my morning routines which put me in the right frame of mind before leaving the house for work everyday.

You would agree that a lot of people in Lagos and other cities are frustrated and most especially not doing what they love for a living. So they are prone to fuck your day up for these reasons out of many others when you encounter them on your way out in the morning. This is why I feel describing my morning routines from the moment I get off bed and the mental status I always love to attain before setting out of the house will be a little tip in making life easier for us in this race for survival.

Prayers, meditation, putting out scriptural/motivational contents, keeping a journal, committing to exercise, keeping my space tidy, shower meditation, and dressing well have been an array of activities that make up my morning routines.

 

It’s been working for me for years and explains why I get to work late. You may not follow my exact routine, the goal is just for you to have a mental ritual that sets you in the right frame of mind before facing the day. It could last you the whole day depending on your work environment. You should also share your routines with me in the comment section.
