SCREW IT WE SAID IT EP 3 – CRUDE REVIEW OF ANIKULAPO THE MOVIE

Screw It We Said It - Anikulapo Movie Review

Crude Review of Anikulapo the Movie – role play, defaults, destinies, what ifs, could haves, would haves and should haves.

There’s no way you have been launching Twitter and Facebook apps on your phone in the past 2 weeks that you’ve not been met with a post about the Netflix hit movie, Anikulapo, produced and directed by Kunle Afolayan. Everybody has had one thing or the other to say about the storyline, the characters and the plot of the movie as they apply to real life scenarios.

For a person with about the poorest movie watching habit in the universe, I was forced to watch the movie as a result of peer pressure and FOMO while on the brilliant side, my partner happens to be an excellent consumer of movies, series and all those kind things you people have the luxury of dedicating hours of your lives to. (lmao not me!) So for this once, we happened to be on the same page and we thought to drop our version of review too.

I found the Anikulapo movie quite amusing till almost the end when shit got real, then I realized why there had been so many takes about it and also, my error mindset of relating it to the present. (You see why movie watching is not for me)

Eventually I got the drift because I was not going to come out of watching the movie without my take too or why then did I watch? My partner and I started to banter about it then we decided to turn the mic on for a CRUDE review as you would find in this post. By now you should be getting used to how real and unprocessed our elements are, and that was just what we put out on the pod.

On the episode 3 of Screw It We Said podcast, we highlighted the leading characters of the Anikulapo movie (Saro and Arolake) and talked about their roles, their defaults, destinies, what ifs, could haves, would haves and should haves. Big shout out to all the cast and crew, Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi, Taiwo Hassan, Sola Sobowale… We enjoyed watching it just as the rest of Africans all over the world who have.
