KHABIR BREAKS NEW GROUND WITH DEBUT EP, ‘NOW I’M HERE’

Now I'm Here - Khabir

‘Now I’m Here’ is a 4-tracker EP which marks another stratum in Khabir’s learning curve as he journeys not to beat the unrealistic idea of perfection but excellence.

Khabir Musa is one of the budding singers, songwriters and performers of the Afrobeats category who cracked the surface in 2021. We can say of a number of young artistes like him who emerged that year, but we can barely put a pen on any one of them who has fitted his feet as firmly as Khabir till this period. It’s one thing to break forth, it’s another thing to wriggle through what is known to be the turmoil of freshman year in the music industry and it is indeed a big deal to finally break ground. It must have taken a stern grounding phase of learning and Khabir obviously insisted on bearing his fruits before the season runs out.

The promising singer who was officially signed to kick off the Don Crucifixto revolution of music with his debut track, ‘One Time’ succeeded in this move with an ace collaboration with the clan’s top dogs, Super Highbee, Joey Benks and Sean Dampte on ‘Underrated.’ His ability to flex his cool pitch and melody with these veteran music makers glared him in the image of a well-grounded youngster who can be trusted to possess an impressive balance.

Khabir in a self-orated short visual clip he posted on his official Instagram page to announce the release of this project, broke the silence on how he has been learning, perfecting his craft and evolving. We can bet that the Khabir of then is not the same as we have on this new body of work.

‘Now I’m Here’ is a 4-tracker EP written by Khabir and executively produced by Sean Dampte. This project marks another stratum yet in his learning curve as he journeys not to beat the unrealistic idea of perfection but excellence. He beckons everyone who has been with him from the start, watched him grow and supported him to convey this project to the world like their truly fostered offspring. Khabir promises to blow our minds with ‘Now I’m Here,’ assuring that there is more where it came from.
