FROM LAGOS WITH LOVE – MY BEST PERFORMANCE AT #FELABRATION2019
This makes my third-year attendance at one of the biggest music festivals in Africa, Felabration. If you’ve read my posts about visiting the Afrika Shrine and Kalakuta museum where the legendary Abami Eda was laid to rest, you will realize how much Fela Kuti’s stories fascinate me. I know by heart that when it is October and I am in Lagos, I have to experience this annual event, I usually aim towards the grand finale or the night before to catch all the vibrations of rich, crude afrobeat. Needless to say, we are all aware that one way or the other, Felabration has a quota it contributes to Lagos state tourism.

This year’s celebration was electrifying as usual, my best performance of the night was by the world first talking drummer, ÀRÀ. She was blazing.
