ATICAN BEACH WHERE THE SKY IS BLUE
Atican beach was the destination on that mint-sunny day. All roads led to Abraham Adesanya way as ‘Maradona’ by Niniola played on the taxi stereo. It was definitely a work free day, I couldn’t have been happier to be visiting another beach in Lagos for the first time.
Unlike the other beaches that would be crowded on a holiday, Atican beach was indeed private, calm and reserved for family gathering.
There’s a hotel on the sandy field of the Atican beach before approaching the sheds. I wanted to ask why the water and the sky were bluer than I ever seen before.
Atican beach is the best place to be if all you want to hear is the roaring seas and not any ear-yanking loud music.
Once again I witnessed the heavens made out with the ocean. I played more at the bank of Atican Beach than quietly observing like I used to at other beaches.
I did not forget to take a sunset picture as usual. I was almost tricked to feel I was out of the world. It’s just one water mass in Lagos but different names like “Atican beach.”
So much I would have loved to write about being at Atican beach but it was all a cameo, nothing about the memory lasted its while. Glad I could share this little bit though.
