The occupational concept of working from home has always been a discussion I wanted to have with someone who also works from home, especially a funky content creator like me but 9-5 life hijacked me again.

The auto-response I get after telling people what I do for a living and how I do it, is “you are chilling.” I almost got tired of enlightening people that working from home bears the same weight as working from the office. I have managed to convey it in a humor based tone in the post HERE. Now that I work from the office, I can tell the difference.

In my past schedule of working from home, there were certain days of the week when I have to be physically present at the office. On these days, I would prepare myself to witness the beauty of dawn and dusk. Returning home from work comes with no other feeling than the intense yearning for my bed (my neatly laid bed, you remember?) These days are quick to surrender into the dark hands of the night. My thoughts and gaze work together soley towards my goal of getting home in one piece.

These nights have a way of interfering with my psyche and making me emotional when I see different people of different race and culture, beliefs and destinies – matching home after a long day, yet hoping for better days.

. . . No! the faces don’t stick.
