What is Your Lagos Story?

Most of what I have been telling you in my LAGOS STORIES has been about work but this story is different. Obviously there are other days like weekends in my Lagos living when I give in to utter relaxation in my confines or out there.

There are other off-work days too that I go for my eye checkups. The events on these days are not the types I really like to share.

I hate hospitals but I want to believe God takes me there from time to time to see that life can be worse, thus giving me more reasons to be thankful and happy in my state.

My recent appointment in Ikeja went the usual gloomy way but I always strive to not to be bitter about it.

I heaved a sigh on my way home, my first cause of joy was that I was able to beat the Mainland/Island after-work traffic. I knew I would at least get back home early enough to rest.

The breeze on Third Mainland brigde was already seducing me into sleep when the bus halted in the middle of the road for a guy who just came online from dozing too when he realized the document he held had flown out.

He rushed out of the bus to chase the flying envelope and laughed back in the bus. I tightened my clench to the transparent file folder I held as I continued resisting sleep. . . . . .

I hope you haven’t been reading these stories alone??? Please share to your friends.

Love Always

Sa’eedah
