WHAT IS YOUR LAGOS STORY? VIII (THE INTERVIEW II)

. . . .continued from the PREVIOUS POST. . . .

GOOD MORNING OJUELEGBA

How I made way to Ojuelegba under bridge before 6 a.m was not rocket science, common! This is Lagos, the first city to wake up in Nigeria.

If you followed closely from the post prior to this, I made you understand the confusing journey I had to embark on in getting to my interview place at Igbo Efon/ Lekki, Lagos.

Okay here we go: I woke up in Surulere, had to pick my things (including my house key) at Omole, then make for Ajah/Badore for a change of clothes before going to Igbo Efon and I must get there on or before 11:30 a.m.

BERGER

Ojuelegba to Berger came without stress except for the pedestrian bridge at 7up express. Let’s say that was some morning exercise. Berger to Omole wasn’t going to smile at me till I chartered a Keke Maruwa at thrice the normal price to take me to the office and back at the fastest speed.

WHAT IS YOUR LAGOS STORY? IV (THE GIFT OF HOME RETURN)

Berger traffic had me gritting my teeth because I was damn sure people would be trooping out to work already. Berger to Obalende traffic gave me a slight glimpse of hell, I am talking about one flipping hour of gridlock! By then it was 8 a.m.

OBALENDE/LEKKI

Finally at Obalende, I hopped into Ajah/Lekki bus praying it would just fly for my sake. Thankfully there was no traffic anymore till I got to Ajah. I jumped on the next available to bike to Badore, hurried my bath and packed necessary papers. One yeye rain did as if it wanted to fall as at 10:59 a.m – I did not even send. I didn’t mind getting to the interview drenched, no be today!

11:29 A.M

I walked into the office reception at exactly 11:29 a.m and made the call. . . .

Drop me comments about one of your crazy Lagos stories, I am eager to read.

Love Always!
