This said young artist and songwriter, Damilare Arowolo (23Drey) who was born and breaded in Lagos before moving to the University of Les Cours Sonou, Benin Republic where he graduated, is aware of every bit of the process involved in attaining a well-baked Nigerian artist status whose skills would be exported all over the world.

Drey’s understanding of patience alongside mastering the art is why his contents are nothing but top quality even for his underground hierarchy. This only marks his pathway to deserving greatness in his pursuit. His first ever single titled ‘All I Need’ must be how he introduced the parent genre of his sound to the world as Afrobeats with silenced plans on the sub-genres he intends to put out in due time.

‘Want It’ by 23Drey goes further to unveil more sides to his vocal prowess in the category of ‘Afro-soul’ and ‘AfroRnb’ as he redefines his sound. It is getting interesting that his approach entails a never-learned-before knowledge of him with each project he puts out. We can at least assume that and get used to it nohow.

This new single also boasts of the proficiency of a record producer who knows his onions, SB ThaProducer. His production credit ranges from the pandemic hit tracks and EP by Mohbad, Bella Shmurda’s viral single titled World, to Lil Kesh, Joeboy, Ice Prince, Sei Vibez, and many more.

We give kudos to 23Drey for how ever he struck the connection with the Afro-producer to be making his second song in a roll.
