Riah Events and Weddings is fast becoming a household brand known for hosting renowned celebrity events and building the Love Connect community

London-based event and wedding planner Tobi Yusuf hosted couples from different parts of the United Kingdom in a luxury ambience of pure romance, exotic ornaments, and openness on the 5th of May at the Langley Hotel in Buckinghamshire for the Love Connect event. Tobi is a married mother of three who juggles being a pharmaceutical agent with her thriving event planning business.

Riah Events and Weddings is fast becoming a household brand known for hosting renowned celebrity events, including Rita Dominic’s white wedding in England and Steff London’s #AfroRoyale birthday celebration (for the second time in a row). Conveying the vision of the brand is taking Tobi around the world through international conferences like the Exotic Wedding Planning Conference (EWPC 2023) in Dubai. Her expertise in this field is not exclusive to her home base, as she has held countless destination weddings and parties in Greece, Portugal, Nigeria, and Armenia, to mention a few.

It’s been a blooming dream for the mompreneur who grew up in a large family where celebrations seem to be an endless course, and as one would expect, it developed her traits of preparing, planning, lending a helping hand, interacting, and meeting people. This knack has earned her inestimable experience and credibility from working with the best creatives in the industry.

Tobi’s early days in marriage almost took a toll on her when she started to feel alone in the unexpected realities of the honeymoon life she envisaged. The bold move of inviting her friends over for dinner at her apartment to pour out to them made her realize how not-so-green the grass is on their side as well, and this birthed the offspring of Riah Events and Weddings, the Love Connect.

She could have set the boat sailing two years ago, shortly after Love Connect was conceived, but her meticulous nature rather afforded her all the time to soak it in, plan it right, and insist on nothing short of excellence, which finally happened in May of this year.

Love Connect is a community (a safe space) for both single and married couples to come together, openly share their stories, and begin to work towards building stronger, healthier relationships. Approximately 90% of having a successful, healthy relationship is about communication, and learning how to communicate does a great deal of work in navigating this desired union.

Tobi of Riah Events was joined by her husband to host couples who testified to enjoying a time of their lives. Everyone after the Love Connect experience was sure to be on the path of eliminating feelings of difficulty in expressing their thoughts, being unheard and invalidated in conversations, and having less physical intimacy and emotional connection with their partners. All these are part of what was promised to be achieved through guided workshops, Q&A sessions with practical scenarios, fun activities, dinner, and networking.

It’s inevitable to mention how Tobi’s attention to detail was stupendously exhibited at the Sicily-themed event. She gave kudos to all the vendors who brought her thoughtfulness to life in gift ideas, decoration, food, props, and every element that made up the beautiful scenery.

Following the overwhelming positive feedback from this maiden edition of Love Connect, Tobi has promised to return sooner than intended for another awesome experience.
