What is your Lagos Story

Benjamin Franklin was quoted to have said: “early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise”. . . . I bet the man doesn’t live in Lagos! What do we say of Sa’eedah who goes late to bed yet wakes up early? Forget it! We are all going to be rich and famous.

Happy New Year beautiful people, I can’t begin to tell you how dusty it is on here or how I totally got lost in managing my four jobs forgetting I have a blog too. That was why I had to give it an inviting new look at least. With this laden of thoughts on my mind, I did not know where/how to kick off this year so I thought to continue from where I stopped on my Lagos story series.

If you missed the previous episode of this series you can check HERE and THERE for us to be on the same track. Continuing this Lagos living series of mine is significant to the reason why I went MIA on here.

Those days when I used to work on the Mainland, (things have changed, I work on the Island now) I would wriggle my way through a hell of traffic back to my bed and the moment I close my eyes to sleep is usually just a minute before the new day then the hustle continues. . .

I left home for work on this day with a heightened level of hope and a basket full of believe that I am made for greatness. I could remember I witnessed the dazzling dark moment a little before dawn when the stars were just kissing the skies farewell. It gripped me in awe!

What is your Lagos Story

The day ended up well spent at work, I plugged my ears to Jay Z’s 4:44 album as I made for home. Heavens beckoned me to look up at the beauty. I saw a golden flame of fire painted on the sky, then I knew the stars were on their way to shine again.

What is your Lagos Story?

That was a narrative of a day in my Lagos story. If you would like to feature in this blog series, you can send your Lagos story to me via mail. Please make it within a considerable and interesting length. I will email you a few more things required for the post. Meanwhile, you can drop me as many comments as possible on your Lagos living experience, I’m sure you have loads of them.

I have a story about an unforgettable day I experienced in Lagos in the link below. Do not forget to drop me comments and share with friends.
