LEKKI CONSERVATION CENTRE WITH THE BROTHER

It took me a while to persuade my brother for us to go to Lekki Conservation Centre,Lagos. He would rather stay at home on that day playing music, watching movies and fondling with his gadgets. I mean it was getting tiring! Pardon my manners, my brother’s name is AbdulQaadir – I call him ‘Q.’ I don’t think he is single (lol), he is cute like that and he says “he is not my regular Naija guy.”

Sekkle Down by Burna Boy x J.Hus was finally playing in the taxicab on our way to Lekki Conservation Centre. Every cell in me told me it would be a fun day. Q is more of an adventurous person than I am, he knows how to create his fun (that must be a genetic thing), he is ever ready to try new things (a thing I am still exercising my guts on) and he likes to see places too.

There were different packages for seeing the Lekki Conservation Centre. We chose the Canopy walk and the Tree House. We were warned about monkeys jumping around; our phones and snacks might just be takeaway gifts. *whew* It was a long enjoyable trek, only for the frightened kids who were screaming. The monkeys came but we were smarter than them.

Record has it that the Canopy Walkway in Lekki Conservation Centre is the longest in Africa.

We indeed felt like super humans when we made it down. The adrenalin pumping on there was unquantifiable. Being 73 ft high on one’s toes is a mind blowing feeling. Words can’t tell it all! Each atom of fright in me busted into bubbles of fun, I was found smiling all through the scary walk.

We stole a peek into another segment of the Conservation Centre before we made for the Tree House. The Canopy Walkway was a thing, the Tree House wasn’t built for the weak neither.

Up on the tree house admits less than five people of varying sizes. We took turns to experience what it felt like up there; it was another wonder at the beauty of nature. Let’s just say a permanent smile was left on my face all through but there was a bit of struggle for whose smile was finer between Q and I. Isn’t my brother just cute?

Lekki Conservation Centre with my brother was a diary striking event. I wish you could relate with what I mean? I have not stopped praying to be richer; a darling reader might just get lucky to see the place with me another time. Let’s see how it goes.
